I just wrapped up an incredible adventure aboard the Disney Magic, and I couldn’t wait to share the highlights with you. From Concierge-level perks to rotational dining, Broadway-style entertainment, and must-visit port stops in Mexico, this sailing was nothing short of unforgettable! The Disney Magic snowbirds in Galveston from November to April which makes it such a great options for families here in the south wanting to sneak away for a quick trip! While the weather in Houston was COLD 🥶 once we got out to sea the temperatures were perfect!

Although this was my 8th Disney Cruise, it was my first time staying in a Concierge-level stateroom—and now I understand why it’s such a favorite among my clients. From priority boarding to personalized service and exclusive access to the Concierge Lounge, everything about it exceeded my expectations. Entertainment that Delivers the Magic

The entertainment onboard the Disney Magic is second to none and we never missed a show. Tangled: The Musical brought Rapunzel’s story to life with Broadway-caliber performances and dazzling visuals. We were all pleasantly surprised with how much we liked Twice Charmed: An Original Take on the Cinderlla Story. It was inventive and clever and had us laughing the whole time! And don’t miss Disney Dreams—a heartwarming show packed with Disney nostalgia that will have you reaching for the tissues (in the best way possible!). 

Dining Rotation Delight

Dining on a Disney Cruise is my favorite. The dining rotation added an extra layer of excitement to every evening. We kicked things off at Animator’s Palate, where the walls come alive with sketches that transform into full-color Disney scenes—pure magic! Rapunzel’s Royal Table charmed us with its lively atmosphere, where Flynn, Rapunzel, and the Snuggly Duckling gang stopped by to entertain us mid-meal. And of course, Lumière’s offered timeless elegance with French-inspired cuisine that transported us straight to the heart of Beauty and the Beast. C’est magnifique, indeed! The best part about the rotational dining on DCL is that your waiters come with you each night! This allows them to really get to know you and what your family likes so they can serve you better! We are always sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the trip! 

Disney Isn’t Just for Kids

Let’s be real—Disney knows how to cater to adults just as well as they do kids, and the Disney Magic has plenty of ways for us grown-ups to unwind, relax, and have a little fun. One of our favorite spots onboard was the Rainforest Room at Senses Spa & Salon. With its heated loungers, aromatic steam rooms, and soothing saunas, it was the perfect retreat to recharge between adventures. Trust me, a few hours here feels like pure bliss!

We also couldn’t resist some friendly competition, so we hit up a few of the adult-only trivia sessions throughout the cruise. My hidden talent? Absolutely crushing it at Decades Music Trivia. While I can’t always remember what I did yesterday, ask me to name that tune, and I’m suddenly a trivia champion! Winning one of those coveted Disney trivia medals was definitely a highlight of the trip.
When evening rolled around, we loved getting dressed up and heading to Keys, the sophisticated piano bar, for a handcrafted cocktail and live music. For something livelier, we’d pop into Fathoms, where themed parties and shows kept the energy high. Our favorite? The Silent Disco, where we danced the night away and laughed until our cheeks hurt. We’re still riding the high from that night!
From serene escapes to lively nightlife, the Disney Magic proves there’s no shortage of ways for adults to make their time onboard magical—even without the kids in tow.

Port Stops that Suprised Me

I’ll be honest—Mexico hasn’t always been my top choice for cruise stops. I usually gravitate toward Caribbean itineraries. But this trip completely changed my perspective, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experiences we had at each port! In Cozumel, we traded the beach chairs for adventure and headed into the lush jungle on an ATV ride. It was such a fun way to explore the island’s natural beauty while kicking up a little dirt—literally! After the adrenaline rush, we cooled off with a stop at a stunning local beach. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life made it the perfect spot for snorkeling, and we left feeling refreshed and ready for more.
In Progreso, the vibe shifted to total relaxation. We spent the day on a laid-back beach break, soaking up the sun and enjoying the soft sands and warm Gulf of Mexico waters. Our loungers under a shady palapa became our personal oasis, complete with fresh salsa and drinks that hit the spot. It was one of those rare, simple days where everything feels perfect.
While I might still lean toward Caribbean cruises, this itinerary showed me that Mexico has so much to offer—especially for those seeking a mix of adventure and relaxation!
